Manuscript Consultation Guidelines

Please be sure to read the following very carefully before submitting your manuscript. If you are unsure about anything for the manuscript consultation, please mail us with any questions.

1. You must register for the event before you submit your manuscript.

2. All manuscript submissions must be sent by email to our email address.

3. Your manuscript must ARRIVE in the mailbox ON or BEFORE Friday, March 3, 2023. Manuscripts received after March 3 cannot be accepted.

4. You may submit 10 pages of your manuscript (picture book, chapter book, MG, YA).

5. Format ALL manuscripts in a 12-point Times New Roman font, double spaced, 1-inch margins all around. More formatting questions? Read From Keyboard to Printed Page.

6. ALL manuscript submissions must include a title page with your contact information and the reading level of your manuscript (YA, MG, Chapter Book, PB). The title page does NOT count as one of your ten pages.

7. The name on your manuscript must match the name you registered under, even if you write under a pseudonym.

8. Submit only the first TEN (10) pages, even if it cuts off mid-chapter. If you would like to include a synopsis (max. 250 words), you may do so on the cover page. The synopsis will not be critiqued, it is just there to give an overview of your manuscript.

9. You will be notified of your time slot by 16 march 2021. You will receive written comments by 16 March 2023.
